Get ready to savor some mouthwatering BBQ and cast your vote in the Fire in the Foothills People's Choice Contest! Here’s how it works:
Competitors: Both KCBS Competition teams and talented local amateur smokers will showcase their skills, cooking chopped BBQ butts provided by the event.
Blind Voting: Each team submits one or two pans of their BBQ, labeled only with a number to ensure fair, blind judging.
Your Role: Event goers can purchase a tasting package, which includes 10 BBQ samples and one voting token (additional packages available for purchase).
Tasting Process: Stroll down the line of approximately 50+ unique entries, first judging by sight and then by taste to find your favorite.
Casting Your Vote: After tasting, place your voting token in the jar corresponding to the number of your top pick.
